Full contour Zirconia crowns are made from “Bruxzir® NOW” material. This is a fully sintered zirconia material that is digitally designed and milled in the lab and then sent to offices for seating.
- Bruxzir® NOW is an exclusively branded material made by Glidewell Laboratories that arrives pre-sintered and shaded.
- Bruxzir® NOW has a flexural strength of 1,100 MPa
- It is ideal for single unit anterior and posterior restorations, cases with limited interocclusal space, and restorations with ≤ 1mm margin thickness.
- The shading comes in the Vita® classical shades: A1, A2, A3, A3.5, B1, B2, C1, C2, D2, & D3 while posterior shades are also available in A4, B3, B4, & C3.
When receiving cases either via impression or digital scan the quality of prepped margin will have a large impact on the final restoration. Below are ideal prepping conditions that assist the design software in capturing the most detail and fabricating the best fit for the restoration.
Another material used specifically for anterior and Bicuspid crown restorations is “Bruxzir® NOW-Esthetic” material. The “esthetic” line of zirconia material includes all of the qualities of the Bruxzir® NOW material with the addition of increased transparency.
- The available VITA® shades include: A1, A2, A3, A3.5, A4, B1, B2, B3, B4, C1, C2, C3, C4, D2, D3, & D4 as well as the bleach shades: BL1 & BL White.
Upon request additional staining and characterization may be performed to a restoration such as staining occlusal surface, adding multi-toned coloration to a surface, or for specific aesthetic characterization such as “craze lines” or “frosty white” accents.
For more detailed characterization, please send Reference photos to: integritydentalstudio@outlook.com with the patient’s name and any additional instructions.
You can send polyvinyl impressions or a scanned file to the Laboratory.
